#5 Koi Pond Paint Night
Koi Pond, 16 in. X 20 in., acrylic on canvas, April, 2019 |
I know it seems like I’ve slacked on the 52 week creative challenge, but trust me. I’ve been painting every week this year. I have to wait patiently before I can post the ones from the last month and half.
This week I went with my big sis Alma to a paint night hosted by Color Your World Designs! My first paint night that I have participated in. Usually, I am the host/facilitator. It was so neat to be on the other side of participation. It was very relaxing and a really great way to get my arms moving in a wider range.
Paint night was at a small sushi restaurant in Compton called Kumi Ko! Sushi and paint, two of my favorite things in this world. The sushi and tempura was really fresh and on point. The staff was wonderful and hospitable. Their vegetable tempura was extra fresh! I was informed that they source some of their vegetables locally from Compton Garden.
This ones for my grandma who recently turned 88. It’s her lucky year! She’s one of the reasons my family is filled with strong leading ladies! Learning the balances of life, hard work, fun, survival, and wholeness from her legacy.
